About PVP 4-H Club ...
The Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H is located in the Los Angeles County in Palos Verdes, CA and serves the youth of Rolling Hills Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills, San Pedro and all other cities in the Los Angeles area. The club is over 130 youth members strong and is one of the largest clubs in all of Los Angeles County. Not only are we one of the biggest, but we feel that we are one of the BEST! We are a very active club with strong parent volunteers who dedicate many hours of their own time to our youth members. These dedicated volunteers allow us to offer a long list of 4-H projects to suit just about anyone's interest.
The club “community meeting” is the third Wednesday of each month at the City of Rolling Hills Estates City Hall (Download the Mapquest Map HERE) Meeting time is 7:00 PM, and meetings usually last about 1 hour. Several meetings throughout the year may include special events, such as a club recognition dinner and more...
Individual project meetings usually meet once per month in addition to the main community meeting. Project meeting date and times vary, depending on the project leader's discretion. For a complete list of projects offered, please view the Club Leaders page. If the project you were looking for isn't there, how about volunteering your time and experience to lead one!
The official 4-H program year begins July 1st and ends the following June 30th, however operationally most clubs begin the new program year activities in September and culminate in September with the Los Angeles County Fair, where many members show their livestock and display their projects. There is also a Spring Fair in April where members can participate in project presentations and livestock showmanship. Throughout the year, the club is involved in several community service projects such as visiting the elderly and serving Christmas Eve/Day dinner to the needy during the holidays.
To join Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H Club, please come to our fall enrollment meetings (September or October) at the City of Rolling Hills Estates City Hall at 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North, RHE, CA 90274. There is a nominal fee ($175.00) per youth enrollment via check; ($108 club dues and $67 medical/liability insurance coverage). Please join us in making the best youth of the Palos Verdes Peninsula & LA County better!
